First and foremost, thank you for your interest in my photography!

My name is Shelby Young and I am an artist local to the Seattle area. As a recent graduate from Seattle University's photography program, I am trying to find my niche in the photographic realm. I mostly photograph people and environments, and enjoy the challenge of portraying feelings and moods in my work. In addition, much of my work takes on feminist undertones and encourages conversation about gender roles and identity. I have created this space in order to share my passion of photographs, as well as get my work out into the world. I hope you are impacted by some aspect of the work featured here, and feel like talking about it.
